Big news for Aussies dreaming of their first home! From 1 October 2025, the Australian Government is expanding the Home Guarantee Scheme to make it easier than ever to step into home ownership.
Here’s what’s changing:
✅ No place limits – unlimited spots available for all first home buyers.
✅ No income caps – higher-income earners can also access the Scheme.
✅ Higher property price caps – so you can buy in areas where prices have increased.
✅ Simpler access in regional areas – the Regional First Home Buyer Guarantee will be replaced by the First Home Guarantee.
With a deposit of as little as 5%, you can apply through one of 30+ participating lenders and avoid paying Lenders Mortgage Insurance. 🙌
📊 New Property Price Caps (effective 1 October 2025):
NSW (Sydney + regional centres): $1,500,000
VIC (Melbourne + Geelong): $950,000
QLD (Brisbane + Gold/Sunshine Coast): $1,000,000
WA (Perth): $850,000
SA (Adelaide): $900,000
TAS (Hobart): $700,000
ACT: $1,000,000
